Stella Blue eight months post amputation

Stella is doing well, and we are happy she is still here to enjoy the warm weather and sunshine! Her surgery was just before Thanksgiving 2017, and at the time our vet said six months would be lucky. Guess we’re lucky!
She is slowing down, more apt to lay down in the grass rather than follow us around the yard… I’m so grateful she’s having this summer weather for her favorite activity – sunbathing!

Who knows what our future will bring, but for now I stop to enjoy the moments we have, and to give our girl as many belly rubs as she requests!

Tee hee……Love the picture of her standing for the Flag😎

HAPPY EIGHT MONTH AMPUVERSARY SWEET STELLA BLUE!!! And keep ’em coming! I just love it when dogs kick statistics in the ass and make their Vet WRONG!!

Yeah, slowing down after eight months as a tripawd, combined with the heat of summer, is not surprising at all.

Stella Blue did get ice cream and cake, right??? Eight Month Ampuversary pawties always require ice cream and cake😁

    Extra hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

  3. Stellllllaaaa! There you are pretty girl. Hoppy Ampuversary! You look marvelous, and so cool as a cucumber even in the summer heat.

Slowing down is to be expected in hot weather. If it keeps up though, do have your people check with a vet to make sure it’s not because you’re in pain and you don’t want to let them know, OK? Promise? Good!

Hope to hear from you again real soon.
